Congratulations to the Medical University of South Carolina Class of 1976 that celebrated their Golden Graduate Reunion on March 19.
We’re especially proud to recognize CCMS board member Dr. Thaddeus Bell, who was one of only five African American graduates of the medical school that year. Legislation & Advocacy: Why Your Voice Matters
As Elizabeth H. Mack, MD, MS reminds us, “Health care is political and we’re either on the menu or at the table.”
With bills this session impacting scope of practice, standards of care, and patient access, physician engagement is critical. The General Assembly meets January through May, and key healthcare legislation remains active.
Build relationships with legislators, follow hearings, and work with your specialty society’s advocacy team. Your expertise is essential and your patients deserve a seat at the table.
