Mark Your Calendars!

The date of our Annual Meeting has been changed to January 16, 2025, and we can’t wait to see you there.  It’s an excellent chance for networking and idea sharing.  Please RSVP here by Friday, January 3, 2025.

Community GivingCCMS is launching a food drive in support of East Cooper Community Outreach (ECCO).  Please consider bringing canned goods to contribute to this effort on the night of the annual meeting.

Health Updates

November is American Diabetes Month, a period focused on raising awareness about diabetes.  I encourage you to discuss preventive care with your patients, especially those at high risk.

As we navigate Flu season and the ongoing presence of COVID-19, we urge you to take precautions.  Free rapid COVID-19 tests are available by mail, and shipping began on September 30.  Request four at-home tests per household via covidtests.gov.

In addition, CCMS Board Member Robert T. Ball Jr, MD MPH FACP emphasizes the importance of staying vigilant in managing your health as “Respiratory Pathogens: COVID and Other Cooties Continue.”  Dr. Ball strongly recommends keeping current on local, state, and national-level respiratory pathogens in this article.

I appreciate your dedication to the CCMS.  Please reach out to us if you need anything.

Sincerely,

Kay
