Reflecting on Men’s Mental Health and PTSD Awareness Month
As we approach the end of June, a month dedicated to raising awareness about men’s mental health and PTSD treatment, it is important to consider the influence these issues have on our lives. This month has provided an opportunity to educate ourselves, support those affected, and promote a culture of understanding and compassion within our community.
The month of June marks the beginning of summer breaks and vacations for many. I hope you are practicing water safety and staying mindful of heat events as you enjoy your summer.
Please join CCMS in registering for the SCMA opioid/substance abuse course, “We Still Need to Talk About Pain Meds? The Opioid Epidemic and Substance Use Disorder.” This free course is scheduled for Wednesday, July 10, 2024, and will be instructed by Kevin B. Walker, MD, FASA, Medical Director of the Division of Pain Medicine at Prisma Health.
Mark your calendars for The Lowcountry Jazz Festival, presented by the Charleston Gaillard Center and Closing the Gap in Healthcare, taking place over Labor Day weekend from August 30, 2024, to September 1, 2024.
